I coach people because most people never reach their full potential in life. Personal accountability has much to do with our reaching personal capability and continued personal growth. Everyone has dreams, but for most people those dreams remain good intentions. Life Coaching takes those dreams from good intentions to reality. That makes life fulfilling.
I coach people because seeing the gifts in other people’s lives released and realized brings great joy to my life.
I coach people because it helps people to have a balanced and fruitful life. Coaching people helps people to live a life focused on what is truly important to them, the people and the areas of life.
I coach because through Coaching my personal gifts find fulfillment in helping others realize their dreams and visions.
Debbie Brubaker
When asked to describe me, people who know me will use the words “faithful” and “committed.” Once I agree to do something, I will do it prayerfully and to the best of my ability. It may take me a while to get started, but once I am started, I am committed to finishing.
I understand the struggles of not knowing where to start and the feelings of being overwhelmed when trying to move forward with a decision. Coaching changed my perspective and helped me to move forward in the call of God upon my life. It brought a focus to my life that I was missing. That is why I am passionate about coaching people. I want them to become all that God has called them to be. Coaching is a vital way for people to grow in the gift of God upon their lives because it challenges their paradigms and stretches their faith.
Jon Coats
I coach people because everyone has so much potential living inside of them waiting to be discovered and deployed.
I coach people because I have found it is a very effective vehicle in helping people discover this potential themselves.
I coach people because it brings about the lasting change needed to deploy the potential inside individuals
For the last decade, I have worked with young leaders, coming alongside to help them become all that God has called them to be. And I love it! One of the things that Life Coaching does is help leaders to recognize that fulfillment and happiness is not found in “doing” all of the right things, but rather being. Life Coaching helps to provide a trusted way, with a trusted someone, to assist in living balanced, ensuring that we live a full and satisfying life.
Claudia Gonzalez
I’m Claudia! I’m a wife, a mother, a full time worker and a pastor. Each role demands responsibilities. Learning how to prioritize my time is crucial.
My experience with coaching has been incredible. Coaching has elevated areas in my life to a greater level. With so many responsibilities in my life, it has helped me to focus on what is important.
Coaching gives me a sense of security knowing that within me is the power to make excellent decisions to achieve my goals.
Why I want to coach others
. . . because I have experienced the benefits of coaching in my own life, and I know that it brings wonderful results when you stick with it.
. . . because I want to help people learn that they have great potential to accomplish their dreams and goals.
. . . because I want people to learn that they can live a meaningful life on earth.
. . . because by coaching others, my gifts will be developed, which will bring more joy to my life.
Ernie Beers Lead Coach/Coach Trainer
I love to work with people and help them realize the visions they have in their hearts. I’ve always enjoyed listening to others and encouraging them to move forward, step-by-step, and live their dreams. Through several decades of pastoring, I have been privileged to participate in the growth process of many people. Being a life coach brings such joy to my heart – it is exciting to see others motivated to achieve their goals. I so enjoy being part of such a life-changing process!
I coach people because I know that the coaching process is powerfully transformative. People are able to reach new levels of accomplishment as they access the vast potential that lies within them. Coaching is an individual-centered, relationship-based, goal-driven experience that empowers people to embrace and realize their dreams. It brings glory to God and great satisfaction to my heart to help others experience the fruit of this personally enriching process.
Bob Buse I coach because people are important to God. The word "important" does not come close to describing the unfathomable value the Creator has placed on each human being. Every one of His creations has purpose and potential. These are brought forth in nurturing and challenging relationships. That is what a coach does: s/he provides clarity and inspires change in a caring relationship.
Walking people through the discovery process and seeing them flourish in life is a beautiful thing. A coach is a vital partner with God and the "coachee" is this journey of discovery. And the coach has the privilege of celebrating success when the client achieve their goals. It doesn't get any better than that!
Coaching is my sweet spot in ministry. I am immensely fulfilled in this supportive role. Whether it is helping someone become the person God intended or fulfill the works He has ordained, there is indescribable joy knowing I have had a part in the finished product. I find enormous gratification serving others in this Christ-centered ministry of coaching.
Connie Coggins
I am Connie Coggins, I am quiet and reserved, I love to let others tell their story and allow me to be a sounding board. I am steady and loyal and have a deep appreciation for gifts and talents in others. I have been in the ministry since 1978 working as a praise leader, then traveling in special music and ministry and pastor’s wife. We have lived in several states and pioneered 2 churches. We are now planting FCF of Broken Arrow. We have traveled for the past 9 years reaching into people lives around the world teaching on leadership and family values. I have 6 children and work as the secretary treasurer of my husband’s construction company and understand management on several levels.
I see coaching as a person dedicated to helping you to reach your God given goals, complete annoying tasks you have procrastinated on and help you with family and work relationships, so you can live a full life, balanced and happy. The idea of coaching is to ask the right questions, keeping you accountable to yourself in an enjoyable way.
Joel Gonzalez
I coach because all my life I have participated in sports and I know and understand the importance of a coach. Coaches help people to work towards achieving their full potential. They also have a role in encouragement, coaches bring out ability by identifying needs and planning and implementing suitable training programs. Whatever the context, coaching involves developing the participant and providing the best possible practical conditions in order to maximize their performance.
As a Pastor, I have taught on the ministerial gifts in the body of Christ. but when a person that does not attend church asks, “ what is a pastor? and what do they do?” I respond, " A pastor is like a coach."
•To educate through communicating ideas and concepts •To improve technical ability by applying knowledge and skills •Gain trust •Establish and outline realistic goals and objectives •Continually learn •Delivering and having sessions in an organized, and effective way
Gareth Jenkins
I was initially drawn to coaching when I discovered the impact being coached had on me. Although most people regarded me as a high achiever, my coach helped me reach higher than ever before while retaining balance in my life.
I enjoy encouraging people to go beyond what they think is possible, and so one of the most rewarding parts of coaching is helping people discover the depth of their gifting and realise the full potential God has put within them. I love coaching because it helps people reach their dreams and succeed in their calling, while establishing and maintaining Godly balance. That’s good for their relationship with God, their family and their health.
Jason Meechan
My name is Jason Meechan and I am the senior pastor of Kona Faith Center. I believe that you can be everything God has made you to be and you can do everything God has made you to do, but that it is up to you. I am process oriented and love the coaching process. I like to ask people what they want to do and then ask them how are you going to do that. I like asking people if they did what they said they were going to do. Yes, I love to see people grow. I love to see people reach. I love to see people make their unique contribution. I love to see people be who God has made them to be. I want to see people finish well.
I coach people because coaching has had the largest impact on my life in the last seven years and I want to offer people the same opportunity to have that life changing impact.
I coach people because I want to offer people the opportunity to have someone in their lives that is far enough away to be that confidential sounding board and accountability partner that we all need.
I coach people because I think this is a primary ingredient to live the Intentional Balanced Life that Jesus came to give us.
I coach people because it is fulfilling to me to see people boldly move farther than they ever have before, farther than they ever could by themselves, and realize what it means to "enter His rest".
Vicki Parlier As a representative of the International side of FCF, I coach those who are outside of the U.S.A. but want to participate in coaching and fulfilling their visions and dreams that may seem too large to accomplish without help. I also coach those within the U.S.A. as someone who understands the culture and pressures of ministry.
I want to encourage everyone to go for the gold, to do something for God that only they can do. I coach to help people bring their talents and gifts to the Lord, to extend the Kingdom.
Ministers need balance in their lives. I want to let them know that it is not only okay to take some time for themselves and their families, it is a biblical mandate. We should set the example for others of a balanced life.
Nothing is greater motivation than accomplishing things for God!
As an international missionary, I have lots of cross-cultural experience and a practical down-to-earth point of view. With over twenty years in ministry, and many years in the counseling ministry, it is a joy for me to help strengthen people in ministry. No matter what the enemy has thrown at you, God can still use you in a mighty way. As a teacher of the Word of God, I love to see the light of revelation and freedom the truth brings to a situation.
Randy Saylor
Hi, My name is Randy and I serve as Senior Pastor of FCF Ottumwa Iowa. My personal passion is to help people connect to their purpose, and then help equip them to live out their purpose. My coaching journey started six years ago when I realized I was not where I needed to be in my personal life and ministry, and I did not know how to move forward. Coaching was the catalyst that moved me forward. Coaching will be a life long journey for me because I am geared to keep moving forward and learning to do things better than I do today. For me it is all about having significant Kingdom impact in the world in which we live. Coaching has given me the tools and resources to do just that!
My motivation for coaching is to help people live free from the hindrances and weights that would prohibit them from being all they are called to be in Christ so they can fulfill their calling and ministry with excellence and joy in their personal live and ministry.
Eric Sonera
I heard somewhere that time is the most precious commodity we have, because we can always get more people or money, but everyone has the exact same amount of time. I coach because I want to help people to better utilize the time they have allotted to complete the projects and goals the Lord have asked of them, to include balancing their personal and professional lives.
Coaching is the tool I know that will help me help others achieve their goals. This tool helps us focus on what’s important, and to devise a plan that will address the priorities in the believer’s life, both at home and at work.
One of the great things about coaching is that it will work with your personality and strengths, whether you’re driven or relaxed, structured or creative.
Isn’t it great to have an objective ear to bounce off problem solving ideas or planning steps to accomplish a goal? Or even better, define what really matters to us? As a coach I have the opportunity to walk with you the journey of your success.
Virgil Stokes
Greetings! I am Virgil Stokes, Pastor of Faith Christian Fellowship of Tucson. My passion in ministry has always been to help others find their calling and fulfill it. I believe regular people can do remarkable things. Coaching helped me in that process, and I believe it will help you. We have everything necessary to reach the world abiding within us. Let’s turn it loose!
I decided to coach because I believe the process helps people locate their own gifts and passions. These are God-given and intended to be released and developed to their fullest.
Lynette McCleland I coach because I know the benefit of being coached myself. Coaching allowed me the opportunity to reach my goals in both my personal and professional life. The experience was life changing and soon I had the desire to coach others.
I coach so that others can share in the same experience.
I coach so that I can help others to find fulfillment in their destiny that God has ordained for them.
Coaching allows you the opportunity to witness transformation in the lives of others, as they start to tap into their own strengths and weaknesses through the tools given throughout the coaching process. As a Coach, you get the opportunity to see that individual, l open up like a rose, and there is no greater experience than to help others reach their full potential.
Terry Meechan
My name is Terry and I co-pastor a church (Kona Faith Center, Inc.) in Hawaii with my husband, Jason. God called us to work together in this endeavor although we have different gifts for accomplishing the work of the ministry. Even though my DISC is a DI, through God’s grace I am able to handle a lot of SC tasks also!
Life Coaching allows a magnificent opportunity for those that desire to live a balanced, intentional life in order to fulfill the God-ordained call on their lives. As believers, I see that it is imperative to live balance and intentional in order to produce the Fruit of the Spirit as identified in Galatians 5:22, 23 (character) and to comply with our Lord's Great Commission of Matthew 28:19, 20, as ministers of the gospel. Although a person may know who they are in the Lord (character), what He has called them to (commission), they often do not know how to accomplish this. Coaching puts the "how to" into reality by achieving self-discovered action steps with accountability. Coaching helps the person complete the process with fulfillment without stress. Coming alongside someone using the Life Coaching process and watching them achieve success is encouraging and exciting. This is why I coach.
Kim Saylor
Hi, I'm Kim. I am happily married to the man of my dreams and co-pastor of FCF of Ottumwa - a church my husband and I founded in 2000. I am an energetic and goal-oriented person. Challenging myself to grow and attain fresh goals is a natural high for me. I wouldn't be true to myself if I didn't also mention that I love people and find them utterly fascinating. If there is a room full of people, I will be in the middle of them having a great time!
At my core is a deep love for God and a commitment to be involved in developing people. i have been a Life Coach since 2009. My commitment as a coach is derived from John 10:10 - I'm committed to helping others reach the quality of life that Jesus came to provide. I partner with individuals to offer support, accountability, and a "safe place" to discuss victories and challenges. It's exciting to see people experience growth as they discover the balance of life and ministry, prioritizing and realizing God's purposes for their life and ministry in a fresh way.
John Smith
I’m told the name John Smith is common, but I prefer to think of it as popular. Of course that’s probably because I tend to be a “the glass is always full” kind of a person and look for the best in circumstances and people. Believing in people, desiring their gifts to be realized, and their God given dreams to become a reality for them and the lives they touch is my heart. Coaching is a great tool to help us unlock, develop and release God’s fullness in each of us to clarify purpose and maintain direction to fulfill our calls and be a blessing to those around us.
John, along with his wife Valarie, has served as the Associate Pastor of FCFTucson since it opened its doors in 2004. He has a BS in Sociology from Indiana State University and a graduate from Faith Ministry Training Institute (FMTI). Besides his pastoral duties, John is the Assistant Director of FMTIonline.com helping people find and fulfill their calling to serve our Lord and their local church.
Wilma Sonera
Why I believe in coaching people….
I want to coach because I love to see God developing His plan in people. I want to help people get to that place where they realize that there are ways to do the things they were created to do and that God placed the answers right inside them. That a balanced life can and will bring a new perspective into their lives and ministry. In our churches there are so many people with dreams and visions, but lost as to how to bring them to pass. Coaching is a tool that brings an outside perspective to draw out inward potential, helping people fulfill their call. I’m seeing the success of this tool in other peoples’ lives and ministries, and now I can add myself to the group that has grown through it, for which I’m grateful!
Brenda Wray
My name is Brenda Wray, I live in Surrey in the United Kingdom. My passion and my call has always been to teach God’s Word to believers, especially those called into ministry in the Church of Jesus Christ.
When I first encountered coaching, I thought it was something outside of my call, But one night God spoke to me in a vision. I saw people wandering around in a forest. Through the trees I could see various pathways that opened out into the light. As I watched, the people looked out into the different pathways but then just carried on walking around in the shadows of the trees. The Lord spoke into my heart and said “These are My people, many of them never fulfill their call and purpose, their destiny is never realized because they are afraid of taking the wrong path! I began to understand that this was the missing link in my ministry. As a teacher I can help people to understand God’s Word, but as a coach I can help them to apply it for themselves! I praise God that He has enabled me to train as a life and ministry coach, to be able to help God’s people become all He wants them to be is the most incredible thing, and something that I consider to be a great honor.
